6 categories of ingredients to keep in mind when choosing the best cream or moisturizer for eczema management.

  1. Skin-identical ingredients mimic the components of the skin and support the skin’s natural ability to function. They reduce eczema symptoms such as redness, support the skin barrier, and fight environmental stressors.
  1. Occlusives ingredients mimic the skin’s natural lipid barrier. They reduce eczema symptoms by locking in moisture and protecting the skin from external aggressors like weather and pollution.
  1. Humectant ingredients are key in making formulations that hydrate skin. They help reduce eczema symptoms by attracting and keeping moisture.
  1. Emollient ingredients restore the skin barrier that is weakened by eczema. They do this by soothing, repairing, softening, and increasing moisture levels.
  1. Anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory ingredients prevent skin cell damage and soothe the skin(flares).

I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your thoughts before writing.
I’ve had difficulty clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there.
I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually wasted
simply just trying to figurre out how to begin. Any suggestions or tips?

    • Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m really glad you’re enjoying the blog.

I completely understand the challenge of getting started with writing—it’s something many of us experience. Over time, I’ve come to believe that, like any habit, writing becomes easier with daily practice. Journaling about your day helps exercise the “writing muscle” and clear your thoughts. Sometimes you can jot down notes or ideas about the topic I’m planning to write about, which helps organize my thoughts when you do dive in.

Another tip is to try journaling or free-writing for a few minutes—even if it’s unrelated to your topic. Just getting words onto the page can help clear your mind and kickstart the creative process.

When it comes to structuring your writing, it helps to start with a clear understanding of what you want to communicate. Put yourself in the reader’s shoes—what questions or insights are they seeking from your article? Summarize those key questions, and structure your writing so that each paragraph addresses and answers them.

As for getting past the initial struggle of starting, I try to let go of the need for perfection right away. I often just write anything that comes to mind, and once the ideas start flowing, I’ll go back and polish things up. It helps to remember that the first 10-15 minutes are like a warm-up—completely normal!

      I hope this helps
